Best Family / Party Game of 2026? A Reviewer on the Sly3 Card Game
Board game reviewer Sophia Vega (@boardgame.craft.art) calls Sly3 "one of the best party/family games." We'll admit we read it more than once. Sly3 is a card game for 2 to 6 players, or 7 to 12 with two decks, about 15 minutes a round, ages 7 and up, $25. "This is one of the best party/family games! I love this game and everyone that I've shown it also loves it! Even non-regular gamers! In sly3 you're trying to be the first one to get rid of all your cards, but you have 3 blind cards that you will only see once it's being played, if you can't play the same number, a higher number or a wild card you must take all of the previous played cards. Simple rules, pure chaos, lots of fun! If you're in the USA don't miss this game!"

Get rid of your cards first. Play the same number or higher, or a wild. Pick up the pile if you can't. Three blind cards at the end. That's the game.

"Even Non-Regular Gamers"
This is the line we care about most. Sly3 was built for the table where half the players don't think of themselves as gamers. When a reviewer who plays a lot of games notices that the non-gamers at their table loved it, that's the whole design goal!
"Simple Rules, Pure Chaos"
The Chaos Rule lets any player holding an exact match of the top card play it immediately, out of turn. It's on by default, it's what makes a room of six loud, and it's why the rules stay simple while the game refuses to stay polite. Add the three blind cards at the finish and you get the reaction you see in the reel.
They Also Called It a Filler
In a separate post, the same reviewer listed Sly3 among their five favorite filler games: games that are easy to set up, easy to play, and done in under 20 minutes. That's exactly where Sly3 lives. It's the game you deal while the big game is still coming out of the box.
